AUSTIN LUMBARD
ABOUT
Mayor Austin Lumbard was born and raised in Orange County. Austin cares deeply about Tustin which is home to his family and friends. His parents, Michael and Susan live in Tustin Legacy. His brother-in-law’s family lives in Tustin Ranch.
Austin is dedicated to serving Tustin. Austin is the current Mayor of Tustin and was elected to the Tustin City Council in 2018. Prior to that, he served on Tustin’s Planning Commission for approximately six years. While serving on the City Council and Planning Commission since 2013, Austin has contributed to the development of Tustin’s neighborhoods, commercial districts, restaurants, schools, and parks.
Austin previously served Orange County residents as a reserve deputy for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Lumbard trained alongside the County’s finest and helped protect its citizens. He also currently represents Tustin on the Orange County Fire Authority board of directors. His time in uniform and on the OCFA board have shaped Austin’s understanding of the challenges our police and fire personnel face every day. As your councilman and current Mayor, Austin has fought to keep Tustin safe to protect our quality of life.
Austin has put his advocacy skills to work as an attorney. His experience in the courtroom, boardroom, and at the negotiating table has equipped him with the tools needed in representing his community. Austin will continue to bring this tenacity with him to City Hall and will always fight for your best interests.
Austin Lumbard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. He lives in Tustin Legacy where he and his wife, Colleen, are raising their daughter, Aubrey, three sons, Jack, Wyatt, and Hunter, and their baby girl, Riley. The family’s mascot is their fourteen-year-old boxer, Moose.
