MY PLAN FOR TUSTIN
BUSINESSES & NONPROFIT SUPPORT
Mayor Lumbard is a fiscal conservative and believes in a restrained government that is focused on helping, not hurting, our local organizations. He believes in smart debt, strategic investment, and balanced books.
Austin believes the hallmark of any great city is its schools. Tustin is fortunate to have quality schools, but we must continue to push for the best. Three of Austin’s five young children are enrolled in Tustin’s schools, and the younger two will be there soon.
Austin spent six years on Tustin’s planning commission before being elected in 2018 to the City Council. Throughout that time, he has advocated for developing the base faster and better, maintaining our single-family neighborhoods, protecting the charm of Old Town, and addressing our blighted and empty lots.
Our men and women in uniform are brave and determined to keep us safe but we need to give them the support that they need. Austin’s philosophy is simple, the first priority of government is to protect the people. Austin’s experience as a reserve deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department gives him a unique perspective on the challenges we face as a community.
QUALITY OF LIFE
As your Mayor, Austin will work to protect our quality of life. Tustin is a wonderful community, but we have room for improvement. Austin wants to clean up our town, beautify our neighborhoods, and bring much-needed energy to the Tustin Legacy development and elsewhere throughout town.
